Selling my original Canon EF 70–200mm f/2.8L USM telephoto zoom. This is the first-generation f/2.8L (non-IS). It’s been a workhorse lens and has seen a lot of real-world use, but it still performs reliably and produces sharp images.
## Condition
- Optically: Glass appears clean and clear in normal use.
- Filter ring: The lens has been dropped in the past and the filter ring is bent. Filters are difficult or not possible to mount normally. This doesn’t affect the images, but it’s important to be aware of.
- Cosmetics: The exterior shows noticeable wear and scratches from regular use. This is not a collector piece – it’s a working lens.
Autofocus works as expected.
Zoom and focus rings operate smoothly.
Aperture and electronics function properly on compatible Canon EF bodies.
Included: tripod ring/collar, lens case
Silly side note, but true: many future NBA players were photographed with this exact lens over the years. No performance boost included, just a bit of fun history.
